If Web (1.0) provided us with “read only” capability and Web 2.0 gives us “read/write” functionality, then the next logical growth phase is going to be “read/write/execute.” User generated applications will emerge that allow users to tie together web services to dynamically create custom functionality without having to know anything about programming or development.
Establishing and maintaining relevance for your brand with today’s young consumer in these evolving mediums is essential. And there is no more cost-efficient or more effective way to build a relationship with than through these brand centric and immersive interactive opportunities.
These elements, can help generate leads, build long-term brand awareness, and increase site stickiness as well as repeat visitors. It is a cost effective tactic that any sized e-business should at least check into for possible inclusion in marketing efforts.
Today’s innovative youth marketers recognize that the way to reach these specific audiences (those under 40) is to give them something they can own, something that speaks their language and above all something that is fun and ‘cool.” These marketers take advantage of consumers’ devotion to videogames to create top-of-mind brand awareness and millions of impressions.
Interactivity is more than fun, it’s media that clicks!
